Thanks for stopping by. My name is Shannon and I’m absolutely thrilled to be with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders for a fourth season. As one of the longer-term veterans on the squad, I am fortunate enough to have had countless opportunities, great memories, irreplaceable experiences, and a network of friends that more closely resembles family.
One of the most recent opportunities that I was able to take part in was traveling to Bangalore, India to cheer for the Royal Challengers Cricket Team in the National Tournament. Fortunately for me, traveling is one of my favorite things to do; as the squad has also brought me to Honduras, Guantanamo Bay, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Djibouti (Africa), UAE, Mexico, and most recently, Aruba, where we shot our 2008-2009 Cheerleader Calendar (be sure to check it out!).
I am a George Mason University graduate, with a B.A. degree in Global Affairs. I first auditioned to be a Redskins Cheerleader while still attending GMU and while dancing with the GMU Modern Dance Company. During the day, when not at practice, games, or appearances, I work in the legal department of a large global energy corporation; and in the near future, I hope to further my education in Business or Law school. When not in uniform, you can also find me reading, going out to eat, watching movies, at the gym (mostly cardio, yoga, and Pilates), or just relaxing.
I’m originally from Hampton, VA, where the Redskins have a huge fan base. I’ve always loved to dance and perform-from kindergarten through college. And what better place to do that than at FedExField, in front of such an amazing crowd!
