My name is Michelle and this is my 6th season as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. One thing I love about being apart of this elite group of women is that I get to expand my horizons and experience something new every year. This year I have two things to add to the list. First I was able to travel to the tropical island of Aruba to shoot the swimsuit calendar. Second I get to participate this year as a Co-Captain in Heather’s line. This is my first year as Co-Captain and Heather’s first year as Captain, so I am looking forward to a fresh take on the sidelines while pumping up the fans to support our team all the way to the Superbowl!
During my 6 years on the squad I have accomplished quite a lot. I have traveled to more than 15 countries to bring a little slice of home to the men and women of our United State military. Some countries include Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. I have also had the opportunity to lend my time to countless charities helping causes such as homelessness, juvenile diabetes, and Children’s Hospital to name a few. On the lighter side I have traveled to an exotic location every year to be part of the sexist swimsuit calendar in NFL cheerleading and I get to inspire hundreds of young ladies with my participation in our Junior Redskins Cheerleading program.
As I mentioned before this squad is an elite group of women. After just one short year on the team, I was inspired to go back to school for my bachelors and I’m now a graduate of University of Maryland with a Bachelors in Business Marketing from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Currently I am working for the Department of Homeland Security as a Customer Relationship Manager. When I’m not at work, at practice, at the games, or attending charity events, which isn’t often, I like to relax and catch up on some of my favorite pastimes. Some of my hobbies include, going to the movies, eating out at restaurant, traveling, and enjoying the city [DC].
I’ve spoken a lot about the team and all that they have done to help mold me into the woman I am today, but I would not have had the passion a drive it takes to make such a team if it wasn’t for the strong backbone my family has provided for me. I have very loving parents that nurtured my talents and built a platform for success by pushing me to be the best that I can be. I have a sister that has shown me that it is not only okay but rewarding to just be yourself. With their support I can do anything.
