Hail Redskins Fans!
I am thrilled to be a part of the 2010-2011Washington Redskins Cheerleaders! I am a four year veteran at the age of 22 and have had wonderful opportunities being a part of this team. I am a soon to be graduate from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Events Management! I am currently interning at a medical office in Arlington and interested in pursuing a career in medical sales.
“Cheerleading is my life.” I wrote this in the third grade after I cheered with the West Point cadets after I cheered while my dad was stationed there. I never dreamed that 14 years later, I would be on FedExField with the Washington Redskins. It has been a lifelong passion of mine, from West Point, Pop Warner, through middle and high school and even college for a short time. Besides my family, cheerleading has been a constant in my life. It has brought me a lot of happiness and has allowed me to focus on other areas important to me.
The past three years have been wonderful. While attending school full time, working part time, and attending cheer practice, I have never imagined I would be traveling to so many different countries like India, Hong Kong, Aruba, Mexico, Germany (where I was born), Austria and England. None of these though prepared me for the incredible experience of our Southwest Asia tour last year. Nine of my WRC sisters and I entertained our troops in places like Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. I felt an emotional connection to our service men and women there because my own father had been station the year before in Afghanistan. I am very proud of my father as well as all the other men and women who sacrifice their lives for our country each day. My dad still serves his country as he has for the past 26 years and I am very proud of his service. Now, my older sister serves our country as well as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps.
Although I have traveled all over the world, this just confirmed my belief that I live in the greatest nation in the world, the USA! This is a wonderful country where I have the opportunity to pursue my goals without limitation and have endless possibilities. Finally, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to country music, my favorite, going to the beach, shopping, and watching movies. I also want to say that my mom and dad have been very supportive these past four years and I truly have a wonderful family, they’re the best thing about me. I am very fortunate to have so many great things in my life as I look forward to the greeting the best fans in the NFL! Go Redskins!
CHEER-fully ?,
