Youth Dance & Cheer Camps

Be a part of our ever-growing summer dance and cheer program. The Redskins Cheerleaders Youth Camps give young dancers and cheerleaders the chance to learn what it takes to become a professional dancer, as well as a cheerleader, from the best in the industry.

During the Dance Camps, children will learn technique and choreography from one of the top instructors in the country, Redskins Cheerleaders Director Stephanie Jojokian. She has helped develop a program to help bring out the best in each dancer. Cheer Camps will focus on stunting, basic gymnastics for the field and a short spirit routine.

Camps are broken down into different age groups in order to give young dancers and cheerleaders specific attention, as well as routines appropriate for their level.

What you can expect at each camp:

Dance Camps: Two mini-dance routines will be taught, as well as ballet and jazz technique. Lunch will be available for purchase one of the three days, as well as souvenir T-shirts. Awards will be given for great performances, showmanship and technique.

Plus, participants will be taught a dance routine for a possible halftime performance at a Redskins home preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 22 (vs. Pittsburgh).

ONLY at Dance Camps can top dancers be nominated to audition for a spot on the award-winning Junior Redskins All-Star Dance Team! The selection process is based on demonstration of the following: good memory, technical abilities, good facial expression, positive attitude and ability to learn routines quickly.

Cheerleading Camp: A short spirit dance routine will be taught. Gymnastics skills for the field will be worked on, as well as stunting with a group. Lunch will be available for purchase one of the three days, as well as souvenir T-shirts. Awards will be given for great performances, showmanship and technique.
